We Three Kings . . .

Today I am participating in Spiritual Sunday hosted by Charlotte and Ginger @ Spiritual Sundays

Today we celebrate the Epiphany or the feast of The Three Kings. The following is the story from Matthew 2:1-12:

Then Herod called the magi secretly
and ascertained from them the time of the star’s appearance.
He sent them to Bethlehem and said,
“Go and search diligently for the child.
When you have found him, bring me word,
that I too may go and do him homage.”
After their audience with the king they set out.
And behold, the star that they had seen at its rising preceded them,
until it came and stopped over the place where the child was.
They were overjoyed at seeing the star,
and on entering the house
they saw the child with Mary his mother.
They prostrated themselves and did him homage.
Then they opened their treasures
and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
And having been warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed for their country by another way.

We too need to pay homage to our Lord and Savior as we bring, not gifts, but ourselves before him.

This signifies the end of Christmas and decorations need to come down. I can't decide if I am feeling remorse or just procrastinating.

Take Care and God Bless.

Hi Vivian, it's nice to meet you and I'm glad you chose to share with us on Spiritual Sundays today. My mother was born in Arkansas and her youngest sister is named Vivian. How about that?
Yes, Christmas is over and it's time to take down the decorations. I have mixed emotions about it too. Time passes so quickly though that it will be time to put them up again before we know it.
Blessings for a Happy New Year.
