A New Look for an Old Chair

Hello everyone!

I want this chair to go from tired and old looking to fabulous.

I purchased this toile to recover it.

My problem comes in figuring out what color to paint the chair. Should I paint it black or white? Here are a couple of pictures of the bathroom corner where it will be sitting.

Any suggestions?

Take Care and God Bless.

Oh BLACK definitely...
Every room needs some black anyway and it will set the mood perfectly against the white tub and curtain. Will look great with the wall color too....yes, black!

I think black would really bring out the style of the fabric... great choice of pattern. Cant wait to see the outcome :)

I think a black frame would accent the room nicely and the pattern you choose fr the chair, but I don't know if the frame of the chair itself would look good black.

i a agree with Craig.. i think if u painted the frame white it would have to much white on it with the fabric. but then i dont think it would look good in black.. but idk i guess u could paint it black and if u dont like it paint it white :)

I vote for black. The beautiful frame of the chair will then stand out in contrast to the white curtains and the tub. That is if you want the chair to be focal point in the room. If you would like it to melt into the background then paint it white. But since it is so pretty I think I would make it stand out in the crowd. Of course paint is cheap and if you don't like the first color paint it again. Good luck.

Black, for sure...it will make the toile pop, and go with the basket across the tub!
