This antique dresser came from Mr. Paramedic's maternal grandmother. We plan to refinish it when the weather warms up. Somehow we lost the mirror off of it when we moved 5 years ago. I hope to find a replacement in the next few months. Then we can refinish both pieces at one time. The display on the dresser is pulled together from items I've had for years.
This cedar chest belonged to another grandmother from Mr. Paramedics side of the family. I found this beautiful table runner last month in Branson, Mo.
As you can probably tell by looking at earlier posts, I love collecting Santas and Snowmen. I purchased these two snowman at a store in Branson also. When I brought them in the house, I decided they would fit perfectly in this room, especially with the red quilt on the bed. I hope guests will feel at home sitting here in front of the windows catching up on their spiritual readings. The wing chairs are from husband's grandma.
I made this little tabletop quilt last winter after Christmas. I then put it up and didn't realize that it went so well with the Christmas quilt I also made last winter until I got it out last month. In fact, I didn't realize it until I started photographing the quilts for an earlier post.
I would love to hear from anyone with a suggestion of a wall color. The master bedroom next to it is an olive green (not sure of the exact color name). The living room walls are a nutmeg and the kitchen walls are red.
Take care and God Bless.

Lovely room! We favor Benjamin Moore's custom color "Oriental Silk" - it's a light cream with a tinge of yellow. Any color goes with it and it doesn't darken a room. All of our bedrooms and familyroom/kitchen are painted in "Oriental Silk". Even my hubby likes it. It's been in every home we have owned.

That room looks so inviting, don't be surprised if I show up at your house with a paintbrush *LOL* You have so many family treasures, that is wonderful. Here's hoping you have a great holiday. My husband is an old Marine, 16 years in kaw enforcement from a motorcycle cop to deputy constable and then an EMT. Now we are retired but he still runs around crazy. Enjoy your camping.
