Chirstmas Break Has Begun & Christmas Quilts

Even though I love my job as a teacher of 3rd graders, I always look forward to Christmas break.

I love  . . .
being able to get up when I want (I never sleep past 7 a.m.)
having the freedom to do what I want when I want.
being able to sew all day.
going places on a whim.
spending time with my family.
turning on all of the Christmas lights.
sitting and watching movies.
reading blogs.
staring at the beautiful Christmas decorations.

Today, I want to show you the Christmas quilts I have made for our home. This year, I was able to put a Christmas quilt on each bed in our house.  I hope you enjoy them.

This is the quilt on the bed in the master bedroom. I'm not sure what the star pattern I used is called but I filled in with redwork on white blocks. The four words on the quilt are faith, hope, peace, and love. The other white blocks have Christmas items, both religious and non religious.

The next quilt is on my guest room bed. This is not an original of mine. I saw it on a website, but when I copied it to my favorites I only copied the picture and did not get the blog or website name. If you know whose design this is, please tell me so I can give them credit.

The next quilt is on my daughter's bed. She is in college and has an apartment of her own. She comes home to work on the weekends. When I started this quilt, it definitely spoke her name.

The last quilt was on my son's bed during the Christmas Tour of Homes. I think it stayed on for that evening and off it came. He has a quilt I made him about 15 years ago that is very "broken in and soft". He would rather use it.

This pattern was in a quilt magazine.  I'm not sure which one. My magazines are all packed away for the next week or two so I can't look for it now.  If you would like to know, email me and I will find it after next week.

I hope you enjoyed my quilts. Now I have to go get busy. I have a quilt to make for a Christmas gift.

Take care and God Bless.

I love your Christmas quilts! Especially the RED and white one on your master bed. It is one of the prettiest I have seen. I have never tried to make a quilt - it seems it would take more patience than I have.

The Sister's Choice quilt turned out beautifully! It is in good company with all of your other wonderful quilts.
