We had a very nice camping trip even though it rained and stormed Friday evening. I arrived there at about 4 p.m. and was able to get my things out of my vehicle and into the 5th wheel before the rain began about 5 p.m.
This is our 5th wheel. We really do not rough it. My morning ritual for camping is to get up, make a pot of coffee, and walk around the camp ground drinking my morning coffee. It is so relaxing. So this is what I did on Saturday morning. I made it around one of the loops and stopped back at the rv to get my second cup. Stopped outside the camp next to ours to chat with a man about the weather. He asked if I thought we would get more rain. I told him I was optimistic and that we were not going to get all of the rain on Saturday that we were supposed to. I got about 100 yards down the road and it started pouring. No sprinkling, no warning, just a downpour. So I hurried back to the rv to change into dry clothes.
Then I realized that I had dropped my phone out of my pocket. So, I got a huge umbrella out and retraced my steps. Sure enough, there was my phone lying on the side of the road about where I was walking when the downpour occurred. The man next door was chuckling when he saw me looking like a drowned rat.
The grass was pretty high which usually irritates me. But, this time there were pretty wild flowers growing.
Going to walk. More photos later.
Take care and God Bless!

I'm sitting in our 5th wheel travel trailer as I read this post abut your camping trip. We are near Ocean City, MD for the long weekend. I can see the bay out my window. We thought we would get rain today but it missed us. We have spent the weekend sorting, cleaning and organizing the RV for our upcoming trip to Alaska later this month. Tomorrow we head home. We sure do love living out of our 5th - it is like a large suite in an hotel. Enjoyed seeing photos of your rig. We have a 33 ft. NuWa Discover America with three slides. Sorry you got caught in the rain.

I would love that retirement life, that is what I call livin!
YUp--coffee and camping --they go to gether so well!! I used to have the old perk type coffee maker when we camped---I just loved making it and smelling it!!
Glad to hear you didn't get hit with the storms Vivian!
Vivian, it sounds like you had a great weekend, a little rain notwithstanding. We had lots of rain and storms this weekend, too. I had visions of our RV being swept away with a flood of water! LOL! I told my hubby that perhaps we should have invested in a house boat, instead! Glad you had peace and fun! :)
It looks like you had a great trip...despite the rain. My husband and I have a 5th wheel, though we haven't been anywhere since November. Perhaps we will go again this fall. I enjoyed your pictures.
pretty flowers! hope your phone was okay!
