Saying Goodbye

Usually I think and contemplate what I am going to blog about. Do I have a Metamorphosis Monday post or a Outdoor Wednesday, etc. I put quite a bit of thought in it.

But . . .

last night, something just told me to talk about our dear dog, Molly, and how she adopted us.

This morning, Craig came to me and said that Molly had not eaten the food he put out for her and asked if I had seen her. I told him that I did not get home until after dark the night before so I had not seen her. He went out to go to school and looked over in the flower bed and found her. She looked very peaceful so we guess she died in her sleep.

Last night, something just told me to talk about Molly.

Goodbye, Molly.

Needless, to say, we are sad here "at home on pine ridge" today.

Take Care and God Bless!

It's so hard to tell our pets goodbye. They are so much a part of our life and bring us great joy and many memories. I know your heart aches.

I am so, so sorry. Losing a pet can be almost like losing a child. Thank you for giving Molly a home for all these years!

Oh I am sad too! At least she did not suffer. Our pets are so near and dear to our hearts. How lucky she was to have you and your family to love and care for her.

In giving Molly a home, we received the love only a pet can give. I would not compare the love of a pet to that of my kids but it is special in its way. She will missed. She was the only dog that chose us and not the other way around.

I am so sorry that Molly is gone. It's probably not a coincident that your blog last night told us about her. Hugs to you & all.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about Molly. I have lost several pets, and I know how heartbreaking it can be. It's so neat that you wrote about her just last night. I'm glad she had you to care for her.

Molly choose you and it appears she was very happy with you and your family. How lucky for her that she found a good family to live out her old age. Thank you for sharing her story with us.

Oh sweetie I am so sad for you. I lost my own "Miss Kitty" this year too. She had gotten to really enjoy living in this house. She was a long haired hymilain the kind of cat that you epect to be "inside" and she was till we moved here. She loved being outside. At the end of the summer she would come home to eat and spend most of her time playing outside. At the times she stayed out she would sleep on the front porch. One morning we woke up and found her in the yard. She had just died in the night. Alot like your sweet Molly. She was a wonderful pet for you I am sure. Because she adopted you and made you love her! I am sorry for your loss. Animals really can waltz thier way in and make us love them. Thanks for sharing your dear sweet
Molly with us.
I am praying you have a Blessed Weekend.
Hugs,
Sherry

I was saddened by your post about Molly. I know she will be waiting at the Rainbow Bridge. Joan

It makes me sad reading about Molly. Don't come and tell me you didn't love her, of course you did! I'm sure Molly will be missed. We have two dogs and a cat, all of them were abandoned - we picked them up from the street.
